scenes from sarasota + what are you doing this weekend?

one of my favorite things about sarasota is the little details that are everywhere -- from the architecture of the city's buildings to the little embellishments on its streets. i always stop and admire the sweet flowers that are part of the sidewalks near my office and on main street, downtown, but yesterday i actually snapped a picture of them for you. seriously, how cute are these? they make me smile when i see them.

and as for the second part of the title of this post--what are you doing this weekend? i have tomorrow off from work, so i probably won't be posting, but i have big plans for the next few days: sleeping, doing a little freelance work, and spending time in the sunshine among them. but the biggest plan of all is that my best friend k.'s birthday is saturday, and i can't wait to celebrate it. she reads this blog, so: happy birthday, bonesy! i'm so glad i get to celebrate with you.

see you monday, friends. i hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  2. Sarsasota has wonderful, artistic touches, but I found the Van Wezel a bit much until they built the Experience Music Project in Seattle. Now, the VW is a nice touch. Have a good weekend.
