scenes from sarasota: strawberry fields forever.

one of my favorite things about living in sarasota is the downtown farmer's market. it's chock-full of everything wonderful: produce, artisan cheese, olive oil and honey, fresh pasta, pastries, and much more -- and all of it's local and well-priced. i really should make an effort to get down there every weekend; as it stands right now, i make it about twice a month.

this weekend, my mom and i spent a good hour meandering through the market. we both picked up some local honey to try and soothe our terrible allergies (side note: have you ever taken honey to help allergies? did it work for you? i've heard great success stories!),  and i snapped the above pictures. don't those strawberries look delicious?
