what are you doing this weekend?

happy, happy, happy friday, friends! another week is behind us and the last week of october is almost upon us -- can you believe it? i'm starting to get excited for halloween and for the holidays: thanksgiving and christmas, of course, but also my grandmother's 95th birthday on november first, which feels like it should be a holiday, you know? (more on grandma -- my mom's mom, who lives in florida, too -- another time. i am so lucky to have both my grandmothers still living.)

how do your weekends look? i'm meeting up with some girlfriends for dinner and conversation tonight, and then tomorrow is my first book club meeting, and i'm looking forward to meeting all of the girls who plan on attending. i also want to continue the feels-like-it's-taking-forever bedroom clean/purge and get a run/walk in both days -- i went running last night (really running) for the first time in months and pushed myself, and while it was hard, the amazing high i got during and after made it all worthwhile. so, yay for that.

tell me what you're up to, and i'll see you back here on monday! xoxo

photo: anne hathaway, photographed by mario testino for vogue's november issue. i love this. also, after reading adam green's profile of her, i love anne.

  1. I am preparing to be in your area next week. Need to get a stunning outfit for the Mote benefit. And dig out a few warm weather clothes to bring.

  3. Great picture. Your weekend sounds awesome - I think I am in need of some girl-time. Hm. Our weekend is pretty clear at the moment, which is not a bad thing. Time to rake and clean and organize a pile for donations and decorate our pumpkins and bake something. Good stuff.
